Mother Of The Nation

As part of our 'Goddess' of month collection, I sat down with Miss 'My smile makes dreams come true' Vuyiswa Ntombela.
Personally I find it difficult it to commit to some things, This individual however, has taken commitment to whole different level to a somewhat spiritual level to be specific.
40 Days Without Shoes is a campaign which takes place at the beginning of the year, Originally started by Vuyiswa Ntombela with the aim to raise as much funds to provide school kids of the East Rand [at the moment] with school shoes which will encourage school kids to study with confidence and enthusiasm knowing that they are wearing the right shoes for their journey to success [cava the word play].
What inspired you?
Education is very important and getting school shoes will encourage them.
Why 40 Days?
A Christian concept - 40 days which is usually for fasting for a cause [food] we'd rather fast to give children a better future and we're passionate about giving back.
It is important to understand the art of giving back, The soul recognises and sees the fullest potential of another, it observes and assists when needed, the art is in not placing judgement one what one soul was trying to achieve in its self-creation but simply to assist it and ultimately you're giving back to the soul that brought you along its Own path - In the position you're in to be able to give a helping hand without wanting something in return.
The next goal is raise as much awareness and or have more influence on a bigger scale. Getting ambassadors is also on the agenda Oh and starting a blog [You go girl!].
So far so good.. She has managed to raise over 40 pairs of shoes and R10 000 in donations to further her campaign, among many, she has assisted Lord Is My Provider Orphanage, Umtholo primary school, Tamaho primary school.
What's heart warming is the extent and power of this campaign next year, people like Sicelo Mbonani, Bands like The Brother Moves On, St. Paul Methodist Church and Melody.
I hope you'll be joining the next walk happening next year, This is something I am more than
willing to commit to.
PS application forms and Merchandise [t-shirts] as well as social pages will be out soon.
