'I met God and she was Black'

By Coco

I believe self-sufficiency is important, Independence is of course the first step, all one needs to do is put oneself in a position to succeed. But what then of a person who fights for the independence of the masses and is brushed off and instead crucified by the very same people. Slavery is very real - mental slavery is the worst form of it all.

The misleading information we're provided [regarding history] and the misleading idea of freedom, its unfortunate that the only true freedom is financial freedom for many.. We as creatives suffer the most.

Just thought I should address this..

Stop misleading the youth.

Let me introduce you to a Messiah I met.

Enter Kgosigadi Masechaba

Singer and song-writer, poet, philanthropist , A women with a powerful voice.

She began her career in 2012 with poetry and singing, she had a higher vision for her work and went on to become a presenter in the same year  as a co-host on Reggae Vibes [Soweto Tv] alongside Ras Sipho and Zehiroah.

She is also has a photography and literature initiative made for the youth, which is based in Duduza [East Rand] "Kasi schools lack fundamental subjects and role models.''

"We don't have tangible role models''

I went on to ask her what she thinks of the South African Music Industry, and found a common factor it lacks realism - the youth are materialistic. This is understandable we all want to be celebrated and bask in the glory and unfortunately we have to compromise our craft to be socially accepted.

Feels like high school again

Hmmm.. Now I have a love jam for my girlfriend.
