TUCCEN

By Coco

Click-click-click-click, the sound of cameras surrounding a rising star is how I've always envisioned the life of a (soon to be) big musician.

I stumbled in to an express store drunk on creative ideas that I wanted share with a friend of mine who worked at Fishaways (Johannesburg CBD). While I was there blabbing away, I felt a chill deep within the core of my being that a significant soul was in the room with me.

T U C C E N

Tuccen is the artist that the universe sent me to. A conscious brethren with a self-given name to separate him from mere mortals. He started writing lyrics officially in grade 10 (2012) and developed his craft from there. In 2016 he recorded two songs as well as a mixtape just to bring out his vision into reality but never released it, understanding that a creation begins at its purest form (thought) followed by the verbal form where utterances bring it into its next stage and lastly becoming a full embodiment of its self once you act it out.

Having delayed it from reaching the masses, he faced a number of difficulties in his process of self-creation among many were financial support, support from parents and as well as people not paying him for performances. The young artist from DOPE Gang (former group) however, persevered in his journey to greatness.

-"How did you overcome all of this?"

-"Patience."

Apart from music, the cosmic warrior also hosts events to build and support upcoming individuals like himself where they may perform various acts of artistic expression.

-"So what's the key?"

-"Persistence"

 Straight forward!

I asked what his plans were for the times to come and what he intends to do next with his music, to
which he explained that his vision is to continue as a recording artist and provide his listeners with quality music (soul nurturing music) inspire the 'opportunity deprived youth' and of course to break boundaries.

How we go is a song that he recently recorded which came from a brainstorming idea that was actually recorded,  performed and released the very same day it was made.

 Instant creation.

The artist continues to perfect his craft with existing projects, because repetition is the master of success.

-"What do you call your music anyway?"

-"Neo-Trap" new age music for the lost youth.

"IN YOUR OWN WORLD, IT IS IMPORTANT TO RE-INVENT THE SELF."
