Macflas, a mentorship programme to clearly define it. *Make
a Child Feel Like A Star*is a programme by KuulMuntu to provide children with an opportunity to
realise their dreams through art in its entirety.
In this dogma driven world children are stripped of their
dreams instead of shown how to materialise them. The Macflas programme, is an
initiative that seeks to break through the negatives of global perspective. It
is a programme based in Vaal – South Of Johannesburg that has been in existence
(in this form) since 2017, creating growth in communities that needed a
direction toward tapping in to their natural aura of excellence.
The story behind making this a reality was just as inspiring
as the reality of the program. I spent a day with the men and women behind it all
- putting everything into perspective – further solidifying their programme. We
spent over 2 days not sleeping (myself personally), spending more time in organising last minute preparations,
this included endless phone calls, transportation issues, studio time and parents
rejecting the hands of furthering their children’s dreams.
With all that being said, everything was achieved – despite
the unpredictable odds that arose.
11 hours of endless
musical recordings (over night), to be exact.
The abovementioned display of passion, devotion and
commitment to change is a confirmation of a prosperous future of what was
thought of as a damned youth.
Victory cannot be claimed in individual accomplishment
It can only be claimed when achieved in unison. Duality is
an age old illusion.
