Love Lead Protect

By Charlotte Gumbi

This Woman's Day 9th August 2018 we at Humanity Must Rise partnered up with Gauteng Community Safety for our documentary called Love Lead Protect at Jeppe Informal Settlement. This Photoshoot and documentary is to create awareness and hopefully put an end to all these killings of our women and children. With this project we also aim to teach our boys about the value of a woman and remind them that God made men stronger than us so they can protect us, not so they can hurt, harm and kill us because Humanity Must Rise

Growing up my dad always used to say to us "My job as your father is to love, lead and protect you. Not so I can hurt or harm you in anyway. This project is in honour all the women children we have lost and is also a dedication to my father MA Gumbi for being my rock and best male role model I known.

We had a very successful photoshoot on Woman's Day and we are busy with our documentary which we have used to partner up with women all over the world.  To get more details on our exhibition at an art gallery please keep your eye on my blog and YouTube channel.

I will forever be grateful to Sargent Lota from Jeppe SAPS and his team for accompanying us us to our shooting location and staying with us throughout the entire shoot in order to make sure we were safe. Not only did Gauteng Community Safety assist with sponsoring us with transport but they also catered us with breakfast and lunch.

Humanity Must Rise is a global movement, because the world is not such a bad place, it just needs a little healing.
Be a nice human.

This photoshoot was directed by Lwazi Blaq Manqele and founder of Humanity Must Rise Charlotte Gumbi @Charlee_Hustle_

Our exhibition will consist of some really uncomfortable images to look at but this needs to be done because our discomfort is someone else's truth, their everyday life.

Be a nice human, because Humanity Must Rise"
