Inside and Out

This is a poem I wrote while I was in hospital, that describes my human experience in this lifetime.

I am inside and out

I wonder inside and out

I hear myself beyond what is inside and out

I see a part of you inside of me but you exist out of me

I want to live in unity - inside and out

I am happy to exist in such a way, you know... inside and out 

I pretend not to see this part of my human experience yet..

I feel whole in this experience 

I touch flowers, leaves on trees, water - it all exists inside and out of me

I worry that I might separate from this experience, without acceptance or peace.

I cry because there is a reality where this too exists

I am not willing to accept that alternate reality, so I strive for peace - inside and out.

I understand life is only an experience and I should not cling to it

I say “Om So Ham” to the universe for “I Am That” - the universe.

I dream in colour, shapes and forms like the universe 

I try to remain in this realm for as long as it takes - in a universal state.

I hope to achieve this this in one lifetime but I’ll wait for as long as it takes

I am inside and out like my universal state.
